Have you met someone famous?
The most famous person I’ve met is a cricket player called Brian Lara!
He’s one of the greatest batsman ever and I got his autograph at my local cricket ground!
I’ve met Boris Johnson, he’s actually a nice guy 😅😅
Been fortunate enough to have a career working with some of the biggest names in the music and TV world! I do miss those days!
I’ve met some famous people.
i sublet a room in London once from niall horan’s bassist 🤷♂️
I've met Stephanie Rice (the Australian swimmer), and Alicia Molik (Australian tennis player) 😄 I also met the musician Mild Minds but he's not that famous 🤣
Oh and I forgot that I met Baby Spice when I was young!
I've met a few celebs from when comic cons were affordable 🤣 People like Geoff Hurst, Jason Momoa, the entire cast of Red Dwarf. I did meet Dame Maggie Smith when volunteering at an Oxfam too, she was nice.
I have met His Majesty The King of kings Jesus Christ
@Amiel Excellent!
The most famous person I met was Her Majesty , the Late Queen at her 2015 Garden party Buckingham Palace . It is my testimony that as believers we have God’s favour upon wherever we are. Of all the people there on the day, i was chosen to meet and greet HM along with other more deserving people. It was surreal . I did want to ask HM faith but was told not to . Have also met King Charles , then Prince of Wales.
Everyday.. Work in the music industry.
I have also met Gary Ryan - amazing classical guitarist - who signed my daughter's grade exam book a few years ago when she was learning one of his pieces (she's a grade 8 level classical guitarist in her own right). I couldn't paste a link on here but if interested, do search on YouTube for "Gary Ryan Benga Beat" and enjoy. Tell me what you think about it. Blessings
I probably have met more people in the public eye than I can remember but some that come to mind are: Pat Barrett- Housefires - worship conference in Brighton. I joked with him about thinking Chris Tomlin wrote "Good, good Father" (rather than him) and he joked back saying he thought so too, lol 😆 YolanDa Brown - amazing saxophonist Rory and Wendy Alec - God TV founders Mayor Boris Johnson - spoke to us jurors at lunchtime in City Hall
I’ve met many famous animators, including Richard Williams, James Baxter, and Glen Keane, but that’s pretty niche!
The most famous person I’ve met is King Charles when I was 17
@Emily That would have been interesting.
Here is my list … Christian musicians/singers … Jeremy Camp, Michael W Smith, Mercy Me members, Chuck Girard … and back in the 70s Cliff Richard, Larry Norman and Evie Tornquist - I used to organise lots of concerts back then. Also many of our national politicians through my social justice and advocacy work.
@Evelyn wow so many big names!
@David Yes but what I remember most is that the Christian music artists were down to earth people despite being famous.
I've met Laurie Hernandez, US olympic medalist gymnast, "Just Mercy" author Bryan Stevenson, and because we live in same city, I've met/seen youtuber Mr. Beast multiple times
As an ex-journalist, that's a wee bit easier. Politicians like David Cameron, Nigel Farage, and Kate Forbes. Great British Bake-off winner Nadia and her fellow finalists that year. I got the bake off recipe book signed by them all for a friend. Krishnan Guru Murthy from Channel 4. Sally Magnusson from Songs of Praise and BBC Scotland news. Ex-Scotland and Rangers football manager, Alex McLeish. I used to be a Christian camp leader to Zander Fagerson, who plays as a rugby scrum half for Scotland.
I saw a cast member of Scot Squad on SALT a while back. Does that count 😅
Oh yes, ML. She was a few years ahead of me at school. Her dad's a minister up north where I grew up. A few years back, I played bubble football with her and her family.
I met a girl from that old Disney Channel show, Game Shakers, named Madison Shipman. She was in my Advanced Drama class my junior year of high school. Further down the line, I also caught the eye of Joseph Morgan (in a medical scrubs outfit!) walking down the hallway at Stanbridge University in Irvine, California when I was still in my veterinary technician program there. It was surreal! I couldn't believe it was really him, the gut who starred as Klaus Mikaelson in The Originals TV show. 😄
I’ve met Dame Judy Dench with my daughter after her performance in a Mid Summer Nights Dream. She was so gracious. I literally walked into Micheal York in London some years ago. On the plus side I was with friends and as I was the first person to spot a celebrity I got the free coffee and cake. 🙌😊
@Christine Ah snap, I saw Dame Judy Dench at a farm shop, super random! I was too nervous to speak with her though 😥
She’s so lovely she would’ve definitely have responded to you 🤗
Allan Sparski, we shook hands on the red carpet at a film festival. He is most known for the production design of the movies: "Schindler's List" and "The Pianist".
