Neither, I prefer crepes âşď¸ so I can roll em up with jam inside mmmmm
@Kitty fair...and as others have posted you can also put crepes together in a lot of different ways, such as with vegetables and so on.

I do prefer to use Belgium waffle batter for pancakes đđđ¤
Are we going to turn this into a photo contest of who makes the best pancakes đĽ ? I like to put a whole can of crushed pineapple đ into my pancake batter ... Plus add some whole blueberries đŤ on top while guey on the griddle Mini chocolate đŤ chips are great too along with shredded coconut 𼼠đ Am I making ya hungry ? My kind of pancakes đĽ don't need maple đ syrup or butter đ§ ....
American style đ but the big back kind. Butter, syrup, chocolate sauce, chocolate chips, strawberries etc.
@Glory to Salvation hi xx
Idk what style it is, but I'm pretty sure my pancakes are the best. đ
I am pancake day (so sad) đ
I think I've been converted to Dutch style..... shhhh.... don't tell my family. đ¤Ł
I luv Indian style Pancake. Itâs called Chakuli.
I just know American style, what is the difference?
I haven't try Dutch style, but the way I make them is American, fluffy, without oil or butter on the pan, butter on top and a condensed milk on top, I know is too sugary but try it first and then we talk about it lol
@Eder I just googled Dutch style and they look like the next type of pancakes that Iâll be trying! Haha yummm!
@Rhiannon I just Google it and they are not fluffy at all đ˘
@Eder đ not even a little bit but they look interesting for something different
Waffles only
@Firefliflihi you need to try my pancakes, I bet I can make you change your mind đ
Japanese! Haha đĽ
Japanese is one of the best
@Gabby hmm, I would have to look that up.
American style nice and fluffy with strawberry, syrup and whip cream! So good!!đ
Since my diet is primarily meat-based (not pure carnivore but pretty close to it) my "pancakes" would likely consist of ground beef with maybe some bacon mixed in haha
Oh, I also make meat pancakes with ground sausage or bacon đĽ crumbles topped with scrambled eggs đ Plus, used leftover Superbowl chili in pancake batter - be careful of large beans though - that the batter does not stick to & make the flapjack fall apart
Iâm a diabetic so I canât usually have them but I love American with chocolate spread and lemon juice x
@James ohhh lemon juice, thatâs a mix with chocolate I never considered. You can get orange chocolate so I guess it makes sense đ
American style all the way for me. Yum
I eat pancakes in whatever form they come in lol
When you say form you mean whatever shape or by you saying form that includes toppings, etc?
@Eder however theyâre made Iâll eat them lol my diet is a form of keto so Iâve been playing around with recipes since making the switch. As for toppings, I usually do hemp seeds, lemon juice and some fruit
What recipes have try so far? I've dying into try oats and bananas no flour tho, or almond flour and banana or just try different ways but flour, I need to quit eating regular flour bread, but I do LOVE bread so is gonna be really gardy
@Eder I used to do an oat and blueberry recipe with equal parts almond meal and gf flour. Iâve been doing a similar recipe with no oats or flour and trying out different things like almond meal and chia or whatever. Tastes good but they look like someone has demolished them lol
@Rhiannon I got some sweet potato flour during the week so Iâm going to try that with almond meal. Have you done eggs with mashed banana and vanilla?
@Rhiannon lol
@Eder and I love bread too but my little body hates it so I steer clear 95% of the time. Gets easier the longer you can go without it. I went slow - bread twice a week, then once a week and now I barely eat it and feel quite horrible when I do!
No I actually haven't tried any new recipe yet, I tried protein pancakes once and they are ok but wanna try something new, the problem is my kids are addicted to regular ones so I'll be doing those probably for myself only. Let me know how the sweet potatoes ones taste like
@Eder I will! Theyâre addicted cause they sound very good and a little bit naughty haha
@Eder the pancakes that is, not the kids đ
@Rhiannon lol yeah and it's our Sunday tradition so... I'm the same my little body can't take it anymore, my cholesterol is high and need to find ways to replace bread and some other food. What you experienced with bread I experienced with Coca-Cola, and I've been soda free for years now, if I ever get one by mistake I feel like throwing up. A d I got tons of videos recipes for "healthier" non flour bread but I haven't find time to try to make them
@Eder yea, I hear that. If I had the time Iâd try making Ezekiel bread. Thereâs some good non flour breads in good quality health shops. Youâll pay for them but you get an idea of what you do and donât like I guess. I donât even bother with that anymore lol I just eat protein and lots of veges
@Rhiannon that's the goal, I was in the hospital 3 weeks ago, I passed out and fainted twice, Dr said I'm ok but I need to take my health seriously from now on, that's why I really need to do all this changes, but is hard, here in the states everything got lots of chemicals and bad stuff đ˘ probably everywhere right, but over here I feel is worse than most of the rest of the world đ
@Eder where are you from by the way đ¤???
@Eder have any available intros to use? We can chat direct if youâd like as weâre way off topic in the pancake chat đ PS. Iâm in Aus
When is Pancake Day and what is the difference between American style and Dutch style pancakes?
@Oasis Sunday is pancake day in my house đĽ đĽđĽ
@Oasis I second the question what's Dutch style? My pancakes days is Sunday a d it's a family tradition for me and my daughters
@Eder Sunday makes sense. Itâs like a last âhoorahâ before the working week. But youâre not ready for pancake making on Saturday because you just want to rest. I thought there was a World/ National Pancake Day or something haha. đđ
@Oasis national pancake day lmao if there's not such day it should be a national holiday lol and I don't make pancakes on Saturdays because I usually work Saturdays đ
@Eder aww sorry to hear. Do you only have one day off per week?
@Oasis thanks God not đ I have 2 Sunday and any other day of the week, that rotates every week, and a long weekend every 5 weeks which I mma have this week, fri, sat & Sunday off, really looking forward to get there đ
@Eder woo long weekend đ I aways have Saturday off and I wonât accept a job if they want me to work Saturdays. I think itâs good to set boundaries for rest. I do appreciate a long weekend. Although, I do prefer the Saturday, Sunday and Monday combo because it makes the week feel like it goes faster. đ
@Oasis you're right as always đ I'd prefer have a job with sat and sun off, but oh well. I miss a lot of church activities because I work almost every sat đ
@Eder Iâd change that. đ God is more important than work. âŚAlso, why am I always right? I know Iâm not always right. đ¤¨
@Oasis I know, I need to prayer about it, Ive thinking very seriously about changing career so I can give more time to get closer to God. One of the things holding back is that I work for the government ( the lowest level) so is stable but I sometimes feel the call to pursue a job within ministry, idk is complicated
Well you've been right all of the times in all the times we've interacted in the past days.
@Eder itâs important to study things for yourself, so you can be grounded in God rather than in others. You donât have to work in ministry to minister. Any job where you represent Christ counts. I work in warehousing. I like thatâs it Monday-Friday and same start and finish times. Praying that God guides you and that youâll hear His still small voice. đđź
Oh definitely I do some research on myself all done but I like to ask for opinion and guidance because I like to share this in a Christian environment instead of just relaying on my own research. And yeah I agree you don't need to work in ministry to minister actually I remember a couple of weeks ago one of my pastors message it was about ministry begins at home with our closest ones but have you ever feel a cold to work in ministry?
French Toast is obviously superior.
@Taylor I second that!
@Taylor French toast is amazing! Pity I donât eat bread anymore đ
100% Dutch style đ I'm putting in a vote for pancake day every Tuesday
@Imogen those are great indeed
@Imogen hi xx
Neither itâs all about waffles!
@Ben L. Oh yum, waffles are great. I especially love the ones with chocolate chips in them served with berries and yoghurt with a dash of honey.
American buttermilk pancakes with maple syrup!
@Camille hi x
Both đđĽ
I prefer eating crepes (french style?!), but prefer making drop scones (?American style).
@Catherine Hmm, I had my first crepe. It was a savoury vegie and cheese one, so good. Then I got the chocolate, strawberries and cream for dessert. Did I order too much for my tiny stomach? Yes. Was it life changingly delicious? Absolutely. Crepes are wonderful and nostalgic đ
@Catherine hi xx sounds beautiful xx
@Catherine you have s good point, you can do crepes in a bunch of different ways...including the veggie varieties @Oasis mentioned, in addition to the dessert or breakfast styles.
Crepes
Well here we have most a Dutch style, but I think I prefer an American style hahah
