@Frank Christmas definitely weakened that pagan tradition back in the 4th century 👍
@Frank AMEN brother! God bless you
It often happens with "pick one" tasks: there are lots of candidates for the title, and all of them win. I'll list several of my favourite pieces. * Bach's Christmas Oratorio (BWV 248) * Pekka Simojoki – Tulkoon Joulu (English version may be found under the name Christmas Has Come) * Ukrainian carol In the Dark Night * Byzantine Canon of the Nativity of Our Lord
In english "Mary did you know" of Pentatonix. In italiano Tu scendi dalle stelle, cantata però da Alex Baroni.
It's not very theological, but I love hearing away in a manger, more recently Coventry carol, Ave Maria is lovely too, there are carols which are nice in other countries too which I like
Now Behold the Lamb, Jesus is the Reason For The Season- Kirk Franklin
The Christmas medley by Theocracy. More specifically, O Come Come o immanuel. Close second is O Come all you unfaithful (not a typo) by Sovreign Grace
Carol of the bells
@Esly that is a nice one.
Mary did you know, Once in Royal David City and The Holy and the Ivy are my top 3 Christmas carols. Popwise Rocking around the Christmas Tree and All I want for Christmas.
Slade “so hear it is merry Christmas “ that’s my official Christmas song. Honourable mention. Mariah Carey “All I want for Christmas is you”.
Any Christmas Carol or anything Mariah Carey sorry 😁
Hark (Hillsong worship 🔥)
Anything that sounds good
Oh holy night, or in the bleak mid winter
Many! One of them is the German one "Die Nacht is vorgedrungen", which has quiet deep and heavy but also hopeful lyrics. Jochen Klepper wrote it in 1937, while the Nazis were ruling Germany. He faced discrimination because of his Jewish wife. In 1942 the family committed suicide facing deportation by the Nazis and after their daughters escape from Germany had failed.
Last Christmas 👀
Crown Him

One of my all-time favourites is the truly *beautiful* song "Who Would Have Dreamed" by Sovereign Grace Music (I just wish it was longer!)
OMG…. I just listened to this song on YouTube. Beautiful song indeed. There are a few mentioned that I don’t think I have heard before. The Lord be praised.
The season’s upon us, Drop Kick Murphys (some of their songs are not family friendly)
All I want for Christmas is you 🥰
“A Hallelujah Christmas” by Cloverton
I love Carol of the Bells 🫶🏻✨ Also the Pentatonix version is goood
@Andreina I need to check that out.
I love family lunches, and meeting friends again :)
Yet not i but through christ in me
Give love on Christmas day
It came upon the midnight clear
Oh Holy Night is definitely one of my favorites 👌🏽
Love Came Down
Mary did you know
Unpopular take but I dislike most Christmas songs and believe that Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ was created by Satan to drive people insane. (Totally joking but not really…🤣)
O Come All You UNfaithful
@Bethany I forgot that song existed, thanks for the reminder to listen ❤️
@Bethany I heard that for the first time the other day! Definitely been on my mind since. Love what I heard of the lyrics- need to intentionally look that one up soon.
Magic Moments by Perry Como😁
„Lasst uns froh und munter sein“
Oh Holy Night, the stars are shining brightly🎊

THE Michael Bublé 🙃
Oh Holy Night and Mary did you know?!
“Christmas Wrapping” by The Waitresses, for it’s funny storytelling
For me it was “O come all ye faithful”. I later knew about the English version and most of my life we sang it in Bengali and Oriya.
I absolutely love Mary do you know?
It is called "Mi Burrito Sabanero" 😄
I love Silent night
Last Christmas from Wham🥰
What child is this, and White Christmas. Honorable mention to Mary did you know.
A few years ago, I truly listened to the lyrics of Little Drummer Boy for the first time and the way the boy was humbled by the fact that he had nothing to give, but offered the only thing he had (his skill with the drum) to Jesus, and was ultimately met with Jesus' pleasure and acceptance.
Oh, Holy night and Mary, did you know
This Christmas by Donny Hathaway and Chris Brown. I also like Mariah Carey's All I want for Christmas is you.
O Holy Night. Also Mistletoe by Justin Bieber 👀
Jingle Bell 🔔
Christmas Truce by Sabaton
Can't wait for the family sing-along, after Christmas lunch/dinner with me on my acoustic guitar and my youngest daughter on Classical guitar!

Joy to the World 🙂
People have reminded me I forgot to add to my list Carol of the Bells/Sing We Now of Christmas 🙂
Depends… if I’m leading worship at church, the crowd favorite is O Holy Night. That one and O come O come Emmanuel are my faves in that case. Otherwise I love a good ole instrumental at home of carol of the bells/sugar plum fairy.
Fairy tale of New York for sure 😂 and Mariah Carey's all I want for Christmas is 2nd. We all sing along and have a laugh when them songs come on
Dominick the Donkey by Lou Monte
Amazing Grace

Mary did you know, In the bleak Mid Winter, Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas, Angels we have heard on high, Oh Holy Night, Handels Messiah
Joy to the world ❤️🙌
Yes I love that one too David! But my fave has got to be Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire (is it just called The Christmas Song?) And O Holy Night 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Honestly, Carol of the Bells by Siberian Trans Orchestra 🎻
It’s hard to narrow it down to just one… White Christmas & Have yourself a merry little Christmas are a couple of my favourites In terms of Carols it has to be O Holy Night & an alternative Carol - O come all you unfaithful
The Charlie Brown Christmas Soundtrack 😆👌
Each to their own Dave, I personally dislike that song lol. Slade is a classic, as well as Driving Home for Christmas by Chris Rea, and probably any version of It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year In terms of favourite carols, O Holy Night and Joy to the World take top spot.
